Brigand Pitches Bannermen to Shutout Victory
Hugh Brigand subdued the Boston Brahmins, 5-0, pitching a 3-hit gem for the Baltimore Bannermen at Banner Field.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Baltimore skipper said.

Brigand registered 8 strikeouts and issued 3 walks in his superb performance.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Boston manager after the defeat.

In 15 starts this year, Brigand has crafted a 6-9 record and a 4.01 ERA.
