Creams Take Tight Tangle
The Milwaukee Creams withstood a fine game by Rochester right fielder Jason Curtis at Cream City Grounds, to upend the Robins, 7-6. Curtis went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3. Norm Schmitt, the winner, goes to 17-32. He allowed 6 runs on 11 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts over 9 innings. The Creams saw their win-loss record go to 27-52. At the same time, the Robins fell to 49-32.

Byron Eggleston was the walk-off hero for Milwaukee. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Creams first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
