Brigand Lays Hammer Down in 8-1 Win
Hugh Brigand, who is on pace for 240 strikeouts this season, was brilliant in helping Baltimore beat the Boston Brahmins, 8-1. The win puts Baltimore at 23-20 this season.

The Brahmins had little chance against Brigand, who overpowered Boston hitters and struck out 10.

"Hugh pitched a very professional game from start to finish," said Baltimore manager .
