Due in large part to third baseman Tony Heath, the Boston Brahmins sunk the Baltimore Bannermen, 9-5. Heath went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Boston goes to 24-18, while the Bannermen fall to 24-21.

Boston used the clutch hitting of Pete Applegate to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Brahmins the lead, 9-5. For the game, Applegate had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.

Heath said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
