Cincinnati left fielder Ty Vanlandingham had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Cleveland Clippers, 8-5. The 6th-place Monarchs go to 23-22.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Monarchs grabbed the lead when Vanlandingham hit his 7th double of the season. The bases-clearing double off Dan Hicks made it 8-5, Cincinnati.

Cincinnati manager was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
