The Rochester Robins topped the Chicago Cyclones, 3-2, in Federal League action at Genessee Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Rochester pitcher and Attleboro, Massachusetts, native Tom Bell. Bell, who leads the FL with a 2.29 ERA, went the distance for Rochester. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. At 54-32, the Robins claim first place in the Federal League.

Jed Edwards was the walk-off hero for Rochester. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Robins center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
