Toronto Provincials fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Fred Brody blanked the Baltimore Bannermen, 9-0, at Banner Field. Brody stopped them on 6 hits while walking 4 and striking out 4.

"Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Provincials skipper said. "He was on top of his game in this one."

So far this season, Brody has logged a 10-9 record with a 2.43 ERA. He has started 19 games, hurled 167 innings and registered 77 strikeouts and 43 walks.
