The first-place New York Excelsiors picked up another win.

The New York Excelsiors buried the Baltimore Bannermen, 12-1, under a barrage of hits. Paul Wayman led the onslaught, going 4-for-6 for New York. New York goes to 40-21. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.

In the bottom of the third, Wayman had a 3-run home run for New York. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Excelsiors on top, 4-1.

"We can't expect to win," said Baltimore manager , "when we play like that."
