| Baltimore Slaps 4-1 Loss on Boston | Baltimore Bannermen starter Hugh Brigand turned in a top-notch performance against the Boston Brahmins at Brahmins Grounds. The result was a win for the Bannermen, 4-1. The Bannermen are now 32-31, while the Brahmins fall to 30-29.
Baltimore took a 4-1 lead on Allen Aiken's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Aiken hit in the top of the ninth, left Boston pitcher Peter Gates visibly frustrated.
Brigand called the win the result of "everyone being in sync." | | | | |
