| Monarchs Chop Down Provincials, 5-1 | Getting an impressive start from Tom Bell, Cincinnati beat Toronto by the score of 5-1. With the win, Cincinnati raised its record to 32-27.
Cincinnati first baseman Ed Ford contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 70th hit of the season and put the Monarchs ahead, 5-1.
