Eldridge Masters New York in Complete Game Win
Zebulon Eldridge pitched a gem to lead St. Louis to victory over the New York Excelsiors, 4-1. St. Louis's record now stands at 61-21, placing them first in the International Association.

The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Eldridge. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Pilots. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Excelsiors, striking out 2 and scattering 4 hits over 9 innings. Eldridge is now 26-8 on the season.

"When I throw strikes I'm good, if I don't I'm not very good," said Eldridge. "So I just have to throw strikes."
