Bannermen Score Late to Win, 6-4
The Baltimore Bannermen needed 10 innings to beat the Boston Brahmins, 6-4, at Brahmins Grounds. The win was due in part to first baseman Walt Chambers, who went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Bannermen are now 39-46.

Baltimore used the timely hitting of Israel Thompson to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bannermen on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Bannermen manager .
