| St. Louis Shuts Out Boston Behind Eldridge, 4-0 | In a seemingly effortless performance, Zebulon Eldridge of the St. Louis Pilots shot down the Boston Brahmins, 4-0, on 2 hits.
"Zebulon was just locating so well and using his pitches," St. Louis manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Eldridge recorded 1 strikeout and 2 walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Boston manager said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
