| Lamb Spins 2-0 Shutout | In an outstanding mound performance, Pittsburgh Vulcans starter Stanley Lamb fired a complete-game shutout against the Montreal Tigers at St. Gabriel Grounds.
Lamb was the key to the 2-0 Pittsburgh win. The 23-year-old left-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 4 hits and no walks he allowed.
"4 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
