The Baltimore Bannermen picked up a win at Banner Field, knocking off the Toronto Provincials, 6-5. On the mound for Baltimore was right-hander Bill Silvers. He played a key role in the triumph. Baltimore is now 39-37, Toronto 40-33.

Rich Spencer was the walk-off hero for Baltimore. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bannermen center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Bill was pounding the zone," said Baltimore manager .
