Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Clippers
The Cleveland Clippers knocked off the New York Excelsiors, 8-7, at Lakefront Park. Ed Shaw was a big reason Cleveland won. The left fielder went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. Cleveland is 7th in the International Association with a record of 35-62.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Cleveland trailing 7-6, Bird Brennan hit a sinker from Eddie Montague to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Clippers had a walk-off win.

"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Brennan said.
