4-3 Toronto Win Thrills Crowd
The Toronto Provincials clipped the Montreal Tigers, 4-3, in 11 innings at Garrison Common Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Toronto pitcher and Hopkinton, Massachusetts, native Fred Brody. Brody yielded 3 runs over 11 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 5, and struck out 4. His record improves to 16-13. The Provincials are now 45-35.

Batting in the bottom of the 11th, 22-year old second baseman Frank Beauregard had a real shot to win the game. Montreal pitcher Jack Kerwin was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Beauregard hit a run-scoring single. The Provincials had a walk-off triumph.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant , the Toronto manager.
