| Slake Paces Monarchs to 5-1 Win | The Cincinnati Monarchs defeated the Montreal Tigers, 5-1, in International Association action at St. Gabriel Grounds II. Cincinnati pitcher Ashton Slake had a standout performance. The third-place Monarchs are now 47-36, the Tigers 46-35.
Slake earned the win to move to 22-10. In his complete game performance, he allowed 1 run, while limiting the Tigers to 4 hits.
