Poole Terrific in 6-3 Detroit Triumph
The Detroit Sturgeons picked up a win at Riverside Park, taking down the New York Barons, 6-3. Starting pitcher Bill Poole was a big reason why. Detroit now sports a record of 64-48.

Poole earned the win to move to 26-18. In his complete game performance, he allowed 3 runs on 2 hits, striking out 7 and walking 1.

"We're one win closer to our goal," Poole said in postgame remarks.
