The 5th time is the charm -- at least for William Evans.

The right fielder for the Des Moines Pioneers hit the milestone against the Toledo Mudcats, helping his club to a narrow 11-10 victory. Evans finished with a 5-for-7 line at the plate.

"Evans was a tough out," Toledo manager Gustavo Rodriguez told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."

William Evans singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

This year, Evans is hitting .379 with 25 hits, no home runs, 15 RBIs and has scored 18 runs.
