| Boston Slaps 7-2 Loss on Cincinnati | The Boston Brahmins got a stellar effort from pitcher Woody Ross, helping Boston score a win over the visiting Cincinnati Dutchmen, 7-2. Ross yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-0. The Brahmins raised their record to 5-0.
One big at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning. Paddy McKeehan reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run off Cincinnati pitcher Charlie Cook. The Brahmins went on to win the game.
