Columbians Need Extra Frames to Get Past Catamounts | The Columbians earned a hard-fought, 2-1 win in 11 innings at Halsted Street Grounds. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Chicago pitcher Albie Scott. Scott went 11 innings and allowed 2 runs. Chicago, with the loss, is still a stout 5-1.
Scott pitched a businesslike game for Chicago, surrendering 2 runs on 5 hits in 11 innings, while striking out 18. It was not enough, though, to get his team a win. | | | | |
