Bells Come Back Late to Clip Catamounts
The Philadelphia Bells dealt the Chicago Catamounts a 6-5 loss at Independence Grounds. Randolph Hollings, who is tied for 5th in the in runs scored with 17, was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Dave Appling got the win, improving to 8-7. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 11 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Philadelphia now has a record of 11-11 with the win.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Hollings hit a sinker from Donald Persaud for a run-scoring single. The Bells, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
