| Montreal Draws Blanks Against Kitts Friday, August 3rd , 1883 Tom Kitts of the Indianapolis Stars was on top of his game.
The 22-year-old tantalized the Montreal Tigers with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest, shutting them out, 1-0.

Kitts told reporters after the game that "keeping the ball down is the key to being successful in this league."
