| Milwaukee Stops Morris Hit Streak Monday, August 27th , 1883 The Milwaukee Creams pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Charlie Morris hitless in 5 at-bats during the club's 7-2 victory over the Rochester Robins at Cream City Grounds. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the third baseman.
"I'm a little down right now," Morris said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
Currently Morris has no home runs and a .285 batting average. | | |
