The Indianapolis hurler fanned 4 and walked 1 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.
"He really kept us in check today," Pilots skipper said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."
To this point in the season Kitts has 17 wins and 18 losses and a 2.30 ERA.
