Hoppe Has 20-Game Hitting Streak

Jackrabbit Hoppe, first baseman for the Baltimore Bannermen, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 5-1 victory over the Montreal Tigers at Banner Field.

"Not the outcome we wanted," Montreal manager said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment."
Jackrabbit Hoppe grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 7th.

Hoppe is currently hitting at a .291 pace with 10 home runs and 60 RBIs.
