After 21 games, Montreal center fielder Buster Brown saw his hitting streak end when he went hitless in 3 at-bats. However, the Tigers still managed to take the win, topping the Cincinnati Monarchs, 5-4, at St. Gabriel Grounds II.

"It was a good run," Brown said after the game. "It was bound to end at some point. I'm just glad we won the day it ended."

This year, Brown has socked 196 hits in 564 at-bats for a .348 average with 15 home runs. He is getting on base at a .406 pace and his totals also include 117 RBIs and 112 runs scored.
