Lloyd Dehaan of the Boston Brahmins proved the point at Brahmins Grounds, holding the Toronto Provincials to 3 hits in a complete game shutout victory.
"Dehaan made us look real bad today," Provincials manager said in a postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."
Dehaan had 6 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk as the Brahmins took the 3-0 win.
