Cyclones Chill Buckley Hot Streak
Thursday, October 4th , 1888
Louisville Colts first baseman Larry Buckley and his hot bat finally met their match at Garrison Grounds.

The Chicago Cyclones snapped his 21-game hitting string, holding Buckley hitless in 3 at-bats and also whipping Louisville, 11-1, for good measure.

"We're real pleased with this one," Cyclones manager said. "Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of a streak like that, and clobbering Louisville makes it even sweeter."

For the year, Buckley is batting .333 with 14 home runs, 96 RBIs and 106 runs scored.
