| Ridin' High: Brown Hits for Cycle Saturday, August 15th , 1896 Harvey Brown starred for the Cincinnati Satraps in their 13-2 win over the Pittsburgh Vulcans. Brown hit for the cycle, going 5-for-6 with 6 RBI and 1 run scored to lead his team in the victory.
"The scouting reports on the pitchers were superb," the first baseman said after the game. "After going over the reports, I felt like I had a big advantage up there. There were no surprises today."
Harvey Brown hit an RBI triple in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Burton Kunkel in the 9th.
For the year, Brown is hitting .267 with 12 home runs. His stats include 69 RBI and 50 runs scored.
