Cramer Fires Shutout in Stallions Victory
Tuesday, August 18th , 1896
In a seemingly effortless performance, Ed Cramer of the Louisville Stallions shot down the Philadelphia Blue Caps, 4-0, on 2 hits.

"Ed was just locating so well and using his pitches," Louisville manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Cramer recorded 4 strikeouts and 4 walks in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Philadelphia manager said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

So far this year, Cramer has a 23-20 record with a 3.91 ERA.
