Albright 5-for-5 for Columbians
Tuesday, August 18th , 1896
It was a good day at Federal Park. The Washington Columbians whipped the Chicago Zephyrs, 14-7, and left fielder Quincy Albright showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate.

"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Albright told BNN reporters after the game.

Columbians manager told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 28-year-old "focused and patient."

"It's not luck," the skipper said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Quincy hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."

Quincy Albright hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.

This season, Albright is batting at a .409 clip with 13 home runs and 73 RBIs.
