25-Game Hitting Streak for Teller
Wednesday, September 2nd , 1896
George Teller continued his streak at Titans Grounds, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The New York shortstop was 1-for-2 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Titans were not as fortunate, losing, 4-0, to the Philadelphia Blue Caps.

"Teller was hitting everything we threw at him," said Philadelphia manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win."
George Teller singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th and walked in the 8th.

So far this season, Teller is batting .391 with 1 home run.
