Bob Marshall, the talented Boston catcher, has added to his list of accomplishments the National Alliance batting title.

The 25-year-old Marshall finished the season with a .351 average to earn the accolade. In his standout year he also had 140 hits, 32 doubles, 13 triples, and 12 home runs. Marshall played in 95 games, drove in 55 runs, and scored 64 times.
