| Stockmen Blanked by Botts Saturday, September 17th , 1887 Paul Botts of the Peoria Warriors overwhelmed the Omaha Stockmen and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them, 2-0, on 1 hit with a total of 6 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"Paul was on quite a roll," Peoria manager said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
