 | McHugh Magic in 3-0 Shutout Monday, June 4th , 1888 The bats were ice cold for the Omaha Stockmen at South Omaha Grounds. St. Joseph River Kings starter Beau McHugh kept the Stockmen cold all day, shutting them out, 3-0. In a fine outing, the 29-year-old hurler allowed 4 hits while striking out 3 and walking 2. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," McHugh admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves." In 16 starts this season, McHugh has rung up a 11-4 record and a 2.62 ERA. |   |
