Gibson Stretches Hit String to 20

Samuel Gibson has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 35-year-old Galveston Gulls catcher extended his streak to 20 games, going 1-for-5 as Galveston got the best of the Dallas Steers at Trinity Grounds, 7-5.

"Samuel has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Gulls manager said.
Samuel Gibson grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Gibson is swinging at a .357 pace on the year with 10 home runs, 119 RBIs and 99 runs scored. He has played in 101 games.
