| Lamb Now 5-5 Following 3-1 Win | The Pittsburgh Vulcans got a magnificent performance from pitcher Stanley Lamb, who muffled the Washington offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Vulcans win at Vulcan Grounds. The Federals fall to 7-16 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 1888 season.
