The Louisville Colts downed the New York Barons, 9-6, in 11 innings at Columbia Field. Larry Buckley led the way, going 2-for-3 for Louisville. The winning pitcher was Ed Lane. He's now 20-12. He went 10 innings, allowing 6 runs on 15 hits for the Colts. Edmund Robinson got the save, his 5th in 5 chances.

Louisville took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 6-6, when Charlie Morris hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Colts in front, 7-6.

"It was terrific getting this win," Morris said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."

Louisville is first in the Federal League with a record of 59-25.
