Colts Suffer One-Run Loss at Washington
The Washington Federals scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Louisville Colts at Capitol Park. Washington pitcher Tom Ewart held his own in the contest. The win makes Washington 38-88.

Washington took a 3-1 lead on William Williamson's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Williamson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Louisville pitcher Sam Barnhill visibly frustrated.

Williamson called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
