Brown Reaches 1000 Milestone
Buster Brown was bubbling over with joy, celebrating his 1000th hit in the Montreal 6-2 victory over the Provincials at St. Gabriel Grounds II.

The 31-year-old center fielder achieved that milestone with 2 hits in 4 at-bats to join the exclusive 1000-hit club.

His manager said, "Buster plays the same every day and every inning -- with all his heart. That's why he's such a special player."

Brown has a lifetime .288 batting average and .340 on-base percentage in his 836-game career with 1001 hits and 70 home runs.
