Pilots Lose, 8-3, as Provincials Rally
The Toronto Provincials picked up a win at Fuchs Park, knocking off the St. Louis Pilots, 8-3. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Henry Clancy. He played a key role in the triumph. The Provincials, at 60-50, sit in 4th place in the International Association.

Toronto took advantage of an error in the top of the ninth inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Bill Lucier hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Provincials in front, 5-3.

"I think it just wasn't our night," said St. Louis skipper .
