Kansas City and Boston duked it out and the Prairie Dogs came out victorious.

The Kansas City Prairie Dogs picked up a win at Brahmins Grounds, dropping the Boston Brahmins, 4-1. Bill Nolette, who is on pace for 227 strikeouts this season, was the difference-maker. Kansas City is now 42-72.

The Brahmins had few good swings against Nolette, the left-hander, who threw 127 pitches over 9 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 5 hits.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Nolette told the Kansas City Herald. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
