Barons Knock Off Westerners, 15-8
Despite a great performance by Indianapolis third baseman Will Wessels, the New York Barons defeated the Westerners by the score of 15-8 at Columbia Field. Wessels was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The 6th-place Barons now have a record of 43-68.

New York got a big at-bat from Grandview, Missouri native Ted Carson, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a bases-clearing triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Barons ahead, 11-3.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said New York skipper . "It's important to have different ways to do it."
