Faulk Leads Unions to 14-13 Win Over Cyclones
Girard Grounds II hosted a classic slugfest.

The Philadelphia Unions beat the Chicago Cyclones in a game in which both teams scored early and often. The final score was 14-13, Unions. One of the hitting stars was catcher Alexander Faulk. Faulk, who is on pace for 100 RBI this season, went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 2. Philadelphia reliever Jeff Scruggs picked up the win. Tom Davidson took the loss for Chicago. Bancroft King, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.

Faulk broke a deadlock in the bottom of the seventh inning, when he hit a run-scoring single, putting Philadelphia up, 12-11.

Chicago manager expressed his frustration after the game: "That many runs and it still wasn't enough?"

The loss makes Chicago 74-44.
