Chicago Wins at Home to Take 3-0 Lead in WCS
The Chicago Cyclones are one game away from a sweep after beating the visiting St. Louis Pilots, 9-5, at Garrison Grounds. Cyclones right-hander Victor Anderson had a standout performance in which he threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Chicago now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 World Championship Series.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Anderson delivered big-time for Chicago, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Nate Shine. The game-changing hit put the Cyclones on top, 6-5.

"We're going to have to play flawless baseball from here on out," St. Louis manager said. "Which, let's face it, we haven't been doing lately."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Garrison Grounds in Chicago.
