| Provincials Top Boston, 8-7 | The Toronto Provincials topped the Boston Brahmins, 8-7, in International Association action at Brahmins Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Toronto first baseman and Massena, New York, native Henry Clancy. Toronto reliever Bart Nader picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Phineas Hathaway took the loss. Toronto bumps their record to 65-53 with the win.
Edsel Geyer drew 1 walk in 7 plate appearances for Toronto. The 22-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the 14th. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 7-7 tie with a run-scoring walk off Phineas Hathaway. It was his 23rd walk of the season.
