Hunter Raps Baltimore for 6 Hits
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Merritt Hunter. Hunter went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Baltimore pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Garrison Common Grounds, he had a 6-for-7 line and a day he will long remember. And the Toronto Provincials had a win, 25-13, over the Bannermen.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Merritt Hunter singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Bill Bartholomew in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Hunter has a .386 average and a .427 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 27 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 18 runs.
