5-for-6 Day for Kennedy
Freddie Kennedy put on a hitting clinic as the Fort Worth Drovers dumped the Sherman Generals, 15-6, at Hertiage Park.

The Fort Worth catcher made Sherman defenders earn their pay, lashing Sherman pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Kennedy said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Freddie Kennedy singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

This season, Kennedy has posted a batting average of .466 with 68 hits in 146 at-bats, 1 home run and 39 RBIs. He has also scored 39 runs, walked 8 times and compiled a .497 OBP.
